Short description
As part of the "Campus 100 II" project, I am investigating sector coupling in the energy transition as head of the "Economy and Society" group. I originally studied political science, and after completing my doctorate I worked as a social scientist on a number of research projects in Germany and the UK. Thematically, I conducted research on the material and energetic use of biomass, not least to provide a sound basis for regulation at the interface between energy and waste policy. In addition, the transformation of the energy system including the promotion of sustainable behavior and consumption patterns were further focal points of my work. Research partners have included the UK Department of the Environment, E.ON Central Networks UK, Refinery Heath, VSHEW, etc.
