The international Master's degree course in Electrical and Information Engineering at Kiel University has a modular structure. The course does not contain any compulsory modules and therefore offers extensive opportunities to specialize individually. One possibility for specialization is in the field of energy technology with numerous lectures, laboratory practicals and seminars on topics such as renewable energies, smart grids or power electronics for energy applications. Students are involved in current research projects as part of their final thesis and thus actively contribute to scientific development.
With a view to the energy transition, the course opens up excellent career prospects. Graduates are able, for example, to develop innovative technologies for the use of renewable energies, to increase the efficiency of energy systems and to develop intelligent power grids.

Admission requirements
Completion of a seven-semester Bachelor's degree course in "Electrical Engineering and Information Technology" equivalent to the corresponding Bachelor's degree course at Kiel University.
English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as evidenced, for example, by TOEFL® IBT, GRE®revised General Tests or IELTS.
