Short description
The Master's degree program Green Energy (M.Sc.) provides interdisciplinary and practice-oriented training for the planning and realization of renewable energy projects. The planning and construction as well as the operation of renewable energy plants (e.g. wind power and photovoltaic plants) are as much a subject of study as the marketing of renewable electricity and renewable heat. The students are also enabled to accompany decentralized supply concepts, projects for energy storage or projects for sector coupling (heat, mobility, H2) holistically and professionally. Through our cooperation with the VSHEW as well as with the northern regional group of the BDEW, we have close practical contact. Since 2015, there are also the "Green Energy Workshops". The research activities of the professors on the energy transition were bundled in November 2018 in the newly founded Institute for the Transformation of the Energy System (ITE).
