Mechatronics is a cross-sectional discipline based on mechanics, electronics, optics and computer science. Mechatronic systems are characterized by the acquisition, transmission and processing of information. Mechatronic products are systems that automatically record and evaluate data and signals in order to convert them into forces and movements. The necessary sensors, e.g. for pressure or temperature, and the actuators, e.g. motors, valves or cylinders, are getting smaller and smaller.
