Short description
Antje Labes is Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Biology at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. She is a trained microbiologist and conducts research in the field of biotechnology of marine natural products. Her main research field the sustainable use of marine microorganisms and and the production of marine natural products in terms of circular economy. Her research interests include biology of marine fungi, bioanalytical detection methods, remediation, non-fossil production of microbial products for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
